FROM NEW ZEALAND TO SHEFFIELD
Tamper Coffee remains a true independent café, it was founded in 2011 by Natalie and Jon Perry, wanting to bring a little slice of the Kiwi café culture to the heart of Sheffield.
Jon is the true Kiwi behind the brand, and Tamper was inspired through them both spending a lot of time in the amazing cafes in Auckland and around NZ in general, and experiencing first hand that great food, coffee & hospitality bring people & communities together.
Tamper is all about that kiwi experience, set in a rustic and quirky environment, with fresh seasonal food, exceptional service and coffee from fellow Kiwis Ozone Coffee Rosters. We believe in building a place where locals and visitors to Sheffield can meet in a social environment and escape from their busy day, lazy weekend or change of environment from the office.
We strive to constantly challenge ourselves and be ahead of the game. That means employing passionate people and sourcing where possible from local suppliers & building relationships to further improve that experience for our customers.
Tamper is located in the historic Sellers Wheel building on Arundel St. Sellers Wheel is a beautiful whitewashed historic grade II listed building dating back to 1862. It was initially occupied by John Sellers & Son’s manufacturing razor blades & pen knifes. The original red brick walls and vaulted ceilings are a beautiful feature of this historic location.
Located in the heart of the old industrial part of Sheffield with in a short walk from the train station and city centre. We are a daytime Eatery open 7 days a week, we also offer evening hire for private or corporate events.
